The first annual Corinthian Cup Golf Tournament to benefit PYW will be held on Sat., Aug. 28 at 8:00am at the Loudon Country Club. A 4 person team scramble event, the registration fee is $90/person or $360/team. The deadline for registration is Aug. 13. For more information call Steve Marston at 670-3700 or stevemarston79@yahoo.com.

The American Legion Peterson Cram Post #75 will meet on Monday, July 5 at 7:30pm at the Post Home on Loudon Rd. The American Legion Department of NH District 5 Commander will install the new post Commander and will present certificates to Post members who have been a member for 50 years.

A reminder (and a thank you) to those who volunteered to bake for the Pittsfield High School All Class Reunion and Old Home Day BBQ to drop off your baked goods at the Miller's, Catamount Rd anytime on Friday, July 16 or before 10:00am on Sat., July 17. Please call Corine at 435-8497 if you have any questions.

"Make A Splash" Summer Reading program with Children's librarian, Carol Grainger, will be held each Thursday from 1-2pm from July 8 - August 12. The program is for preschool through sixth grade children and pre-registration is required.

There will be NO July meeting of the Josiah Carpenter Library Trustees. The next meeting will be on Aug. 19th at 6:30pm. Monthly meetings will resume thereafter at 6:30pm on the second Thursday of each month.

A special event, Nanny Rosebud Storyteller, "Fairy Tales of the Sea" for ages 9 to 99 will be held on Thursday, July 22 from 4-5pm at the Library.

The Josiah Carpenter Book Worms Teen Book Club with Library Director, Roza Benoit, will meet on Thursday, July 22 from 6:30 - 8:30pm to discuss S.E. Hilton's, "The Outsider". Pre registration is required.

Old Home Day is planned for Sat., July 17. The theme for the day is "School Days - A Blast from the Past". A craft fair, music, kids games and jump tent, and food
will be held at Dustin Park. Participants are still needed for the annual, "American Chop Suey" cookoff- call 435-6346 to register. The parade will begin at 1pm.
Following the parade, from 2-5pm, the PHS All Class Reunion will be held at the Elementary School. A chicken BBQ will be held from 5-7pm (cost is $10/person) and you do NOT need to be an alumni to attend. Tickets may be purchased at the Town Hall or by visiting www.pittsfield-nh.com and click on All Class Reunion link to print the RSVP form - which includes the BBQ ticket info or forms are available at the Post office and can be mailed in. The Windham Town Band will perform at Drake Field (tennis court area) from 7:30 -9pm followed by a fireworks display. Save the date – Saturday, July 17! Old Home Day is being planned. The theme for the day is “School Days – A Blast from the Past”. Floats, bands, antique cars/trucks, organizations to march are all needed for the parade at 1pm. Visit www.pittsfield-nh.com to see activities being planned or call Louie Houle at 435-6938.

A PHS All Class Reunion is planned in conjunction with Old Home Day, Saturday, July 17 from 2-5pm at Pittsfield Elementary School (note change in location). All Alumni and classmates that attended PHS are invited. Light refreshments will be provided as well as visiting with classmates and tours of the high school. There is no charge to attend the reunion. A chicken BBQ from 5-7pm will be held after the reunion. The cost is $10/person and tickets must be purchased in advance. The Sunrise Farmers Market is open every Thursday from 3-5:30pm at Dustin Park, Main Street.

The annual Old Home Day Cook-Off for this year is a hot-lunch favorite, American Chop Suey. As a nod to the All Class Reunion that is planned, participants are asked to prepare a batch of Chop Suey and bring it to Dustin Park by 8:45am on Sat, July 17. Cash prizes will be awarded to the public’s choice of winners. Call Andi at 435-6346 to register your entry.

The Community Drug and Alcohol Coalition will meet on Monday, June 28 at 6:30 pm at PYW.

The PHS All Class Reunion Committee will meet on Tuesday, June 29 at 6:15pm at PYW.

The Suncook Valley Soccer Club will be hosting adult soccer every Sunday night (except 7/4) at 5pm at Drake Field. For more information, contact James at suncookvalleysoccerclub@gmail.com
