Pittsfield is a special
place. There is always something to do and see here, and
it’s not just seasonal, it’s year round. Pittsfield Players
theater presentations are held throughout the year bringing
theater-goers from all over.
In
the winter
an active snowmobile club manages trails throughout the
region, Winterfest, sponsored by the Pittsfield Recreation
Department provides activities for children during the
winter school break. We are within easy driving distance
from down hill and X-country ski areas.

to enjoy the Historic Trail, a tour of buildings and sites
of historic and architectural interest. The Sargent Town
Forest has a walking trail with identification of native
plants. The Pittsfield Youth Baseball Association will soon
have a Babe Ruth regulation size field for hosting league
games.
Summer fun
abounds with a Town-wide Yard Sale in June and Old Home Day
in July. Launch a boat from the Boat Ramp onto the
reservoir on a July evening, or take a swim at the Forest B.
Argue Pool. Watch Hot Air Balloons at the August Balloon
Rally sponsored annually by the Pittsfield Rotary, one of
two such events in the State.
Fall is
apple picking time with many orchards within the
region, including our very own Appleview Orchard set atop on
of the most scenic views in town. Back to school time with
