The
Pittsfield Fire Department proudly protects over 4,000
people living in an area of 24.5 square miles. We operate
out of one station that protects a primarily residential
area. Our Department is a public department whose members
are on a combination paid and volunteer status. We have an
ISO rating of 6.
The
Pittsfield Fire Department provides Fire and EMS Services to
the businesses and residents of the town. The Department
includes 5 full-time EMTs and one Paramedic who staffs the
Ambulance Service. Our Department has 42 volunteer members,
including Officers, volunteers, full-time and per diem
staff, and Support Company members. We also sponsor an
Explorer’s Post with six members at this time.
We

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission
Recall
Recently a safety bulletin was issued by the
U.S. Consumer Product Safety
Commission on the recall of counterfeit Square D circuit
breakers. Square D manufactures electrical components to
include electrical panels and circuit breakers. This recall
may affect residences of New Hampshire, and homeowners
should check to see if their homes are affected.

Service EMT-I Karen Brown Graduates from Paramedic Program

Congratulations to EMT-I Karen Brown who recently graduated
from the Paramedic program at New England Solutions in
Concord. EMT Brown attended classes over a 15-month period
and is currently involved in clinical ride along time. Upon
completion of the clinic time and after the successful
completion of the National Registry written and practical
exam, EMT Brown will be certified as a Nationally Registered
Paramedic. Karen, a resident of Hillsboro. She is a member
of the Hillsboro Fire Department, as well as serving as a
full-time staff member for the Pittsfield Fire and Rescue
Service.
